When adorable Summer turned one, her mother created a beautiful sunshine themed birthday party in yellow and pink to celebrate. What a perfect, lovely theme that matches this little girl's name so well! On to Baby member Morgan Bayard Photography was there to capture all of the details crafted by Summer's mom herself. It all came together to create this light, happy, and sunny look and feel. A gorgeous, playful cake took center stage below some fun yellow poms on the dessert table, which also featured some incredibly cute sun cake pops along with other matching treats. The decor also included some sweet photo banners documenting Summer's first year.
Summer's party included a traditional Korean Dol ceremony, where the birthday boy or girl is presented with different objects. The object the child chooses symbolizes his or her future path. During her ceremony, she first reached for the book, which represents becoming a scholar, but actually picked up the money, which means a wealthy future awaits her! To see more from this darling party, be sure to visit the full gallery before you go!

Wow! I'm speechless...what a "Picture Perfect" beautiful 1st birthday party! Obviously, mom and her photographer are both so talented.

Did you buy or make the yellow hanging decorations? I'm planning to do a pink and yellow theme for my daughter's first birthday party at a park, and I would like to create similar declarations in the picnic shelter. I was also wondering how to display her pictures. I will definitely use your clothespin idea!

Mavis, I bought the yellow hanging decorations from a wonderful Etsy vendor: http://www.etsy.com/shop/BubblyNewYork?utm_source=convo&utm_medium=trans_email&utm_campaign=convo_html Good luck with the party! Happy birthday to your daughter.

Hi
The cake is the best I've ever seen. So cute. Where did you get the cake topper from?
