Please Note:

From 2011-2016, we had an inspiration blog featuring nurseries, baby showers, parties, and portraits that were submitted to us by photographers, designers, and parents. We no longer accept submissions or post new blog content, but we have left the archive here for those who have saved this content, or for new readers looking for inspiration.

Space Invaders & Robot Themed Baby Shower

Get ready to be invaded by cuteness! This incredibly adorable space invader and robot themed baby shower had an amazing team behind it, including JL Designs who created the florals and designed the event, Leila from Be Inspired PR who the hosted, planned, and also helped design, Cherish Paperie who designed the paper goods, Jesi Haack Design who created with the backdrop design, and Sweet & Saucy Shop who created the amazing desserts! Carlie from Gabriel Ryan took all of the gorgeous photos.

The shower design was inspired by the baby's nursery, which has a subtle robot and space theme. They kept the feeling happy with a yellow, orange, white, and gray palette with small pops of teal and green. The design is filled with fabulous details, such as:
• Custom gray space invader wall decals behind the dessert table
• A pixelated space invader backdrop for the food display, made by hand by Jesi Haack
• Flower arrangements that feature a billy ball "antennae" coming out of the top of each arrangement, along with some cute ceramic robot vases.
• Robot-shaped soap favors packaged in boxes that read "baby shower objective: destroy all germs"
• A food table that served up "microchips" ( potato chips served in empty tin cans),
"comet particles" (wild rice salad served in foil bowls), "ufos" (chicken salad sandwiches on round buns), and "tri colored laser beams" (a veggie crudite and edamame dip served in shot glasses).
• Beverages that included "liquid hydrogen" (mango juice and sprite), "rocket fuel" (lemonade),
and "anti freeze" (mini bottles of champagne)
• A dessert table that included robot cake pops, cupcakes with robot toppers, "asteroids" (white chocolate dipped donut holes), "flying saucers" (custom sugar cookies), and an amazing Space Invader themed cake.

There is no way not to adore this baby shower! So many great ideas for you, too, if you are having a kid's party instead of a shower. See all of the photos by visiting the full gallery.
