Locke's Colorful and Modern Nursery

When photographer Mary Wyar found out she would be having a little boy, she knew modern, fun, and colorful would be the key to his nursery design. They wanted a space that would spark his imagination and grow with him over time. Because this nursery space was on the small side, they opted to keep the room white (Benjamin Moore Paper Mache), except for one bold, dramatic royal blue wall (Benjamin Moore Bold Blue). The white crib definitely pops against that bright wall. Some of our favorite touches in this room are the vintage padlocks that serve as a cute play on this baby's name, Locke. Purchases from IKEA and CB2 helped keep costs down, and they consciously chose pieces that could be reused in other parts of the home down the road.
