As an event designer, Taleen Shirikian has plenty of experience with beautiful parties, but usually she's the one doing the planning. With twins on the way, this time it was her turn to be the guest-of-honor, and her team at Simple Little Details created such a gorgeous event for the occasion. They opted for a French inspired theme and coordinated an elegant, classic day with a vintage look. This shower has a lot of beautiful, polished details, so be sure to read much more at the bottom of the post about the day from Taleen herself. Details from Taleen Shirikian, Mom-to-Be and Event Designer at Simple Little Details:
"As an event designer, I get to create something special for my clients every day, but this time I got to relax and have my wonderful Simple Little Details team create something beautiful for me. The baby shower was beyond my expectations. The theme was French inspired and had a classy feel with vintage elements. The color pallet was a French blue, soft yellow, and silver. My husband and I are so blessed and fortunate to now have welcomed our twin boys to this world.
"When I received the invitation for the baby shower it made me so excited. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the shower. The outside was embellished with a soft yellow silk ribbon and vintage baby carriage cutout. It was almost too beautiful to open. The inside had a beautiful floral wreath design with the words 'Bonjour Bébés' in the center.
"As I walked into the room on the day of I was in awe by all the gorgeous elements that my team had put together. As guests arrived they were greeted by a vintage French door that held the place cards. The top of the door had a wooden sign that said 'Bonjour' and was embellished in beautiful greenery and florals.
"The dining tables were covered in a French blue and white striped linen and paired with silver chivari chairs and silver chargers. Each place setting had a napkin that was embellished with a vintage baby carriage. The centerpieces were silver mercury glass pedestals with gorgeous greenery, hydrangeas, delphinium, lisianthus, and roses.
"The favors were lavender sachets that were hand stamped with a vintage baby carriage. They were displayed with a wooden 'merci' sign on a vintage white table with florals spilling out of the front drawer.
"The dessert was displayed on a vintage white dresser with florals coming out of the front of the drawers. The cake and French macaroons were displayed in glass pedestals. The backdrop was absolutely gorgeous. It was a floral wreath with a cutout of the word “bébés” hanging in the center. Besides the cake and macaroons there was a Crêpe station to go along with the French theme! It was absolutely delicious. Guests were able to order their crêpes off the menu and they were made fresh right in front of them.
"Another fun detail that made me feel special was the décor on the back of my chair. It was a floral wreath with a cutout of the words'Bonjour Mama'. The entire day was so amazing. My friends and family really made me feel special and it was the perfect way to celebrate the bébés!"
