Stephanie Campagna of Celebrations and Sweet Creations created this darling orange and aqua baby shower in honor of expecting mom Abby. The event had a subtle "Under The Sea" theme, while the light, fun color palette was chosen to match the nursery of the little boy on the way. The decor included tissue paper flowers, coordinating balloons, DIY diaper cupcakes, and some incredibly cute diaper centerpieces. Guests also had baby bottles with fun striped straws for their beverages. The whole event feels so bright and happy. Read on below for more details!
The light Under the Sea theme is reflected most in this adorable food spread which included Submarine sandwiches, seaweed spread, sand dollars, shark teeth, sangria splash and sparkling octopus ink. So fun! Stephanie designed the food labels herself in Photoshop.
The vintage aqua suitcase was not only cute decor, it was also a nod to the mom-to-be who is a avid traveler. It was also thrifty: Stephanie bought the suitcase at Goodwill for $5 and spray painted it aqua!
Guests wrote sweet messages to the baby inside these baby books!
One fun gift for the mother-to-be were these "Baby-to-Go Bags": an idea Stephanie found on the blog Procrastination Station. These handy little bags hold a travel-size packet of formula, disposable bib, newborn diaper, wipes, and a disposable diaper mat. It's for those moments mom or dad have to jet out the door and can simply grab these for everything they need.
For the favors, guests discovered macadamia nut caramel salted chocolates inside darling muslin bags from Paper Moon that said, "All You Need in Life is a Friend Who Has Chocolate". They were sweetly displayed in a mini baby carriage.
