Please Note:

From 2011-2016, we had an inspiration blog featuring nurseries, baby showers, parties, and portraits that were submitted to us by photographers, designers, and parents. We no longer accept submissions or post new blog content, but we have left the archive here for those who have saved this content, or for new readers looking for inspiration.

Amelia's Shabby Chic Nursery

Shabby Chic Nursery

Baby Amelia's mom Katie Roberts initially planned to go modern for her daughter's nursery, but then she fell in love with a sweet birdie fabric. That inspiration sent her on the way to this sweet, shabby chic inspired room that is so light and feminine. Katie saved on the budget by sourcing items from stores like IKEA, Hobby Lobby, Etsy, and Kirkland's, along with an antique dresser they refurbished. The room also has a very special piece: a beautiful, reupholstered rocking chair that has been in their family for almost 100 years. Katie also added some cute DIY pieces, like the poms and wreath were made with dyed coffee filters. Absolutely darling! Check out the full gallery to see all of the photos submitted.
