It may be December, but let's take a moment as temperatures plunge to enjoy the warmth of a summery party. Taleen Shirikian of Simple Little Details designed and coordinated this delightful flamingo themed third birthday party for darling Yasmeen. (We were also lucky to have the opportunity to feature Yasmeen's ice cream themed first birthday party two years ago, and it's just as cute!) This party was full of fun details and activities for the kids, like the flamingo ring toss and the make-a-necklace station out of candy and snacks. Taleen included lots of great info about the party, so check out her description at the bottom of this post, and stop by the full gallery for more images by Daniel McElmury Photography
Taleen Shirikian of Simple Little Details:
"We would love to share this flamingo themed third birthday with all of you not only because we loved the design, but to also drive awareness for dwarfism. Dwarfism does no define Yasmeen and we hope to raise awareness to show that she is much more! She is funny, determined and loving. She's a huge hearted boss lady with a big, bright future. When her mom Nabila asked us to design her third birthday after we had done her first, we couldn't wait! The colors of the party were pink, green, and white. As guests arrived they were greeted by a sign that said "let's flamingle!". The dining table was a long table that had various types of palm branches going down the center with pink florals and mini pineapples. Attached to the pineapples were large white and pink balloons. For the white balloons we printed images of palms and attached them to the balloons for a unique look. The dessert table had a balloon backdrop with palms attached to the bottom portion of the balloons. We also created a balloon, tassel, and palm garland to go cross the front. The cake perfectly matched the theme with flamingos and palms. The tropical drink station was a hit! We had pineapple, mango, orange juice and sparkling guava punch. We added bowls of tropical fruits for guests to create their own drink. We purchased green glasses and had paper straws that were embellished with pineapples, flamingos, and pineapples. We wanted to create something special for the birthday girl's chair so we added a "I'm Three" sign with palms and balloons. Our favorite activity for the kids was the flamingo ring toss."
