Born on a cold day in January, the winter weather in Wisconsin was the perfect inspiration for little Reagan's vintage deer themed first birthday party. Reagan's mom, Sarah Sarbacker of Cherry Blossom Events, made the day so special, filling the party with thoughtful details and such pretty decor. Cute little deer accents and natural elements like pinecones, evergreens, and wood details, gave the party that beautiful woodland feel. Guests enjoyed a hot chocolate bar, a make-your-own trail mix bar, cupcakes (each adorned with their own unique hand piped snowflake), and winter-inspired cakes. Please read on for much more from Sarah below in the post, then be sure to see the full gallery, full of fantastic images captured by The Salty Peanut Photography.
"We made the fireplace mantle the focal point when you walked in, decked out with large pinecones from California and a few white glittered ones for fun. The custom barn wood sign was made with the number 1 in the middle and the antlers coming out like a head. (Thanks to my clever husband who came up with that!)"
"The flowers were the perfect blend of winter with the dusty miller, pinecones, evergreens and soft white blooms. We had touches of them throughout the house."
"The evergreens and pinecones mixed with the deer antlers and tree stumps were arranged to be the table centerpieces. We brought in that soft feminine look with the vintage plates and made cute antler tags for the forks to tie everything together. We had a lot of fun scouting for the perfect vintage deer figurines and they became the perfect touches nestled amongst our evergreens."
"The vintage breakfast cart for our hot chocolate station and the vintage white enamel table with the chalkboard drawer that said Sweet Treats all played in nicely to our home and it's farmhouse look already."
"We also played into the theme with our food - a trail mix bar (which guests loved!), they could mix their own trail mix, and the holiday lemonade drink garnished with mint and sugared cranberries."
"The cakes were inspired by the winter feel. We did one in white fondant with accents of the beautiful winter floral. The other was a gingerbread cake with a cream cheese frosting and topped with sugared cranberries - AMAZING! We paired it with Cinnamon Ice Cream and it was the perfect winter treat! The cupcakes were all hand piped snowflakes which made them that much more special as no two are alike. The little smash cake for reagan had pine cones made out of a pretzel and frosting. Everything tied together to the overall theme and felt meaningful."
"Bobbi from the Salty Peanut did a great job with the pictures. We love them and are grateful to be able to cherish this special time in our lives for years to come. There's something so special about a 1st birthday, it's the beginning to many years, many memories, laughs, and love to come as a family. And now we're a family of 5."
