Please Note:

From 2011-2016, we had an inspiration blog featuring nurseries, baby showers, parties, and portraits that were submitted to us by photographers, designers, and parents. We no longer accept submissions or post new blog content, but we have left the archive here for those who have saved this content, or for new readers looking for inspiration.

Old Schoolhouse Unique Baby Shower

If you're looking for a unique baby shower idea, consider surprising your guests with an interesting and unforgettable location. A century-old schoolhouse served as the incredibly original spot for this sweet shower, held in honor of photographer Shannon Von Eschen. What an amazing idea! Her mother-in-law, Amy Von Eschen, actually owns this building, and she provided the antique furniture and decor as well. The lovely succulents and plants came from Amy's greenhouse, The Urban Garden. Shannon's sister-in-law Jessica hosted the event and designed the theme of the shower around Shannon's interests and in the style of her wedding photography. You can see much more of this one-of-a-kind shower in the full gallery.
