This baptism reception held special meaning for the event designer, Sofia Morgadinho of Awespiring Weddings and Design, who was honored to also be asked to be the godmother of baby Natasha, her niece. This wonderful day could not have been more lovely, featuring a palette of white and lavender, stunning floral design, and a gorgeous venue with high ceilings and exposed beams that was chosen for its resemblance to Natasha’s church. "With a guest list of 50 close family and friends, we transformed the space into an intimate gathering. As they arrived they were greeted with lavender-flavoured macarons that doubled as escort cards."
"I selected beautiful white overlay linens with texture that reminded me of a baptismal gown and paired that with lavender florals on white candelabras."
"A special table was designated for the parents and godparents, which featured a 4 ft long floral arrangement along with candlelight."
"One of my favourite elements was the cake. I had seen a few different designs and did a quick sketch of a cake integrating the looks. After discussing it with the cake designer, she made it a reality and it really became one of the main focal points in the venue."
