Monster + Little Man Themed Party for One-Year-Old Frank

This fun party, styled and planned by Lesley Frascogna of TULIP Floral Studio for her son Frank, combines two popular party themes into one adorable outcome. Frank has been their little man from the beginning, sporting a cute bow tie in his very first photo shoot, and it made the perfect party inspiration. For some extra fun, little monsters made their way into the party, too. Cute monster gentlemen wearing bowties appeared on the invitation and paper goods, all designed by Beverly Hayman of TULIP. More planning details from Lesley:

"I also wanted to incorporate patterns and textiles since they are an important element to my design style. I found some great patterns in our chosen color palette that we used to make table runners, backdrops, and pillows to place around the house. Beverly also re-created the patterns to use as the envelope liner for our invites along with all of the print work. She also designed a 'Frank Logo' that was used throughout the party on things such as the to-go cake boxes, the CD covers, invitations, and the goodie bags. We decided to throw some balloons and cute monsters in there for fun! For the flowers, I really wanted to keep it minimal. White gerberas with a black center were placed in green and blue bottle throughout the house."

The kids' favor bags were full of great treats, including bubbles, crayons, monster stickers, goofy sunglasses, and candy.

As part of the party fun, little "Frank Facts" were scattered throughout the house. Guests would use these clues to answer a "Frank Quiz", and the winner got a vase filled with pretty flowers.

This next idea is TOO cute! Guests dined at the "Frank Bar", with their choice of Frank Franks (beef), Bird Franks (chicken), and Spicy Franks (Andouille), with a variety of toppings to create their own favorite frank.

Another activity the kids's enjoyed at the party was a "Little Monster Workshop" with monster coloring pages created by Beverly. After the party, they hung the finished pictures in the playroom.

Lesley shared some details about these three yummy cakes: "Maria’s cakes are always so amazing. They taste as good as they look, and they always look so good! I asked her to keep the design minimal and I requested a bowtie on top of the main cake. They looked so perfect displayed on a few of my white cake stands. With three cakes, we obviously had leftovers so we sent them home in boxes accented with Frank’s adorable logo."
