Last year we shared Jackson's fun, blue ombre "PJs and Pancakes" 1st birthday party designed by his mom Tabitha Roberts of Roberts & Co. Events. After taking in that event, we were not surprised at all to see his second birthday was just as amazing! Check out this train themed party, filled to the brim with charming details. Tabitha gave us all the info, so read on throughout the post, then visit the full gallery for tons of great photos captured by Lisa Boggs Photography.
"Jackson turned two this year and we still can not believe how into trains this handsome man is. So when it was time to plan his birthday we wanted to make sure that he loved every second of it. We transformed the house into a train station with train walk ways, station platform signage and a special lunch and treats for the older guests."
"The kids had their own small table set with "flatbeds" for their lunch along with whistles, conductors hats and bandanas, and personalized cups for each child. We ran orange and sky blue throughout the house to keep with the overall theme. Each child was able to participate in fun train games including Pin the Funnel on the train, and special train rides around the house on the tracks."
"We decorated with giant orange weather balloons and special linens from DC Rental to complete the overall look of the day."
"Our Fueling Station was complete with Orange throwback sodas, special Diesel Punch, and personalized cups. We were lucky to have antique train memorabilia throughout the house that came from Jacksons great grandfather who used to work on the railways."
"Lunch was styled after the idea that each person can build their own 'flat bed' to create a custom picnic. The flatbeds were lined with orange and blue vellum liners, and sandwiches were each wrapped and labelled. The directions were to 1. pick a flatbed, 2. load your cargo and 3. get your tools to eat with. Everyone had fund filling up on yummy goodies such as caprese pasta salad, sandwiches, fruit baskets, and ham biscuits."
"Dessert was a custom cake for the birthday boy with train brownies and ice-cream bar for all of the guests. Sprinkle tubes, chocolate syrup, and red hots were a huge hit for the day!"
"Each child was given his luggage as they left which has special train whistles, tattoos, play doh and Thomas the train treats inside. It was a great day for everyone involved and Jackson was a happy birthday boy!"
