Please Note:

From 2011-2016, we had an inspiration blog featuring nurseries, baby showers, parties, and portraits that were submitted to us by photographers, designers, and parents. We no longer accept submissions or post new blog content, but we have left the archive here for those who have saved this content, or for new readers looking for inspiration.

Green & Yellow Baby Shower

This darling green and yellow baby shower honored expecting mom Gina, a kindergarten teacher who works at Salon 253 when school is not in session. Salon owner and friend Adiel Sneary-Cline designed the event and teamed up with another friend, photographer Karma Hill, who hosted it at her own gallery and studio just down the street from the salon. With the gender staying a surprise, green and yellow made for the perfect palette, and they had fun incorporating a "guess the gender" station into the shower. Guests wore their votes in the form of bow pins for a girl and mustache pins for a boy. So cute! The shower also featured a slideshow of Gina's maternity portraits captured by Karma Hill, who also snapped the shower photos. Stop by the full gallery to see more, including Gina's beautiful maternity shots!
