Meet baby James! For his beautiful portrait session by Meg Sexton Photography, his parents opted to wait until their adorable little guy was a bit older than typical newborn age so they could capture some of his sweet personality. Meg documented this cute family in James's bright, contemporary nursery and other spots in the home, making for a perfectly cozy and natural shoot. Read on for more details from James's mom Julie about the nursery planning, then stop by the full gallery for so many more gorgeous photos!
"When we bought our house last year I couldn't wait to put a nursery in the corner room. It's small and bright, perfect for a little one. When we found out I was pregnant, we painted the walls a warm white and started decorating! We wanted a clean, neutral space we could fill with James' things as he grew."
"I love the shelf above the rocking chair because it is a collection of things from all the people who loved our baby even before he was born. The painting of the fish flags was done by my grandpa and the stuffed lion was his first gift from my mom. Mitchell and I bought the little metal "z" to celebrate our wedding and the turquoise bird was a souvenir from Istanbul."
