It was the baby boy's due date of Christmas and his nursery theme of elephants that inspired this adorable holiday elephant themed baby shower in honor of Lauren Martin, the owner of Sweet Lauren Cakes in San Francisco. Lauren's friend Sara helped plan the shower along with the crew at Sweet Lauren Cakes. A light blue and grey palette accented with bright red worked perfectly with the holiday feel, along with decor that featured ornaments, red striped cakepop sticks, and evergreen branches.
Lauren's cakepop crew made a surprise spread of delicious and darling desserts that included cakepops in seasonal flavors like gingerbread spice, pumpkin, vanilla bean and red velvet, and pie pops in pumpkin, caramel pecan, apple cinnamon, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry, all within her grandmother's secret crust recipe. Guests also enjoyed a cute cake Lauren made herself with a tier of lemon cake with a layer of mascarpone and organic local honey, and a chocolate fudge tier with salted caramel buttercream and a layer of caramel. Yum!
At this coed shower, guests sipped on a signature cocktail that played on Lauren's last name, Martin: the Martin-i! For favors, plantable seed elephants from Recycled Ideas gave guests the opportunity to watch their own little garden grow at home. So cute!
