This fun, bright birthday party designed by Vellum & Vogue is an amazing example of how color can be used in the decor to create a big visual impact. The goal was to create a first birthday party that was unique, fun and incorporated a palette of primary colors. Their inspiration began with the fun, interactive invitations they created with event details printed on a balloon and a note instructing guests to "Inflate Me!". So fun! Krystal Morgens of Vellum & Vogue shared more details about the party with us:
"With the stationery having set the tone, the event followed suit with a décor palette of primary colors. Using the long narrow deck in the hosts’ backyard to our logistical advantage, we created one long table to accommodate dining guests; then, we used floral centerpieces and chairs to mimic the theme of a rainbow. The incredible sweets table tied all the concepts together and was adorned by a bright and colorful backdrop, which included a custom pennant banner and rainbow balloons. The focal point of the dessert table showcased the birthday boy’s smash cake, which was designed to echo the rainbow chevron invitation. Inside, each individual table highlighted a particular color of the rainbow – red, orange, yellow, green, etc. – and the children had a blast playing in the colorful ball pit. As you can see, we even caught some of the adults letting loose and partaking in the fun!"
