On to Baby turned two years old today, so when we saw this adorable second birthday party, it seemed only fitting to share it on this day! Chrissy Trujillo of Vitalic Photo created this train themed birthday party to celebrate her son Tanner. The theme inspiration came from Tanner's love of Thomas the Train and the rest of the party built from there. There are some really great ideas here, from the sheet bundles for guests to eat lunch picnic style to the little rented toy train rides for the kids. Chrissy shared a bit about the party with us:
"My son became a pretty big Thomas the Train fan over the last year, so we wanted to commemorate this phase (or obsession) in his life by throwing him a train themed birthday party. We didn't want to overload it with cartoon Thomas the tank engines everywhere, but we did want it to be fun and heavily train themed. We were inspired by the cartoon to have it in a wooded park similar to Sodor Island and we even rented a train that went through the forest on a dirt path that the kids loved. Since there wasn't a lot of room for tables, we decided to give it a picnic spin where the kids pulled out sheets to eat their train shaped pb&j lunch boxes. There was also a train photo booth and train shaped cookies as well as wooden trains and whistles as favors."
