Colorful and Modern Circus Themed Nursery

Expecting mom Joy Kelley of HowJoyful set out to create a space for their little one on the way that was colorful, modern, and gender-neutral, as the gender would be a surprise. A circus themed nursery seemed to be the perfect answer, as Joy also has a personal love for carnivals, the circus, and animals. Joy, along with her husband and father-in-law, kept the budget in focus by undertaking a lot of truly inspiring and wonderfully personal DIY projects. So much love and time was poured into creating this room. Some of those projects included an elephant lamp, hot air ballon mobile, circus ticket pillow, "Sleeping Baby" door banner, and an Ikea laundry basket turned into a toy basket. Be sure to visit Joy's blog, as she has generously shared her knowledge and project how-to tutorials if you'd like to recreate some of these items for your own space!
