Addison's parents, Kate and Daniel Sprague, had been married for four years when baby Addison came along, but had never put much thought into home decorating. But all that changed when Kate got pregnant and they set out to make Addison's space special. So with a bit of nerves, they jumped right in by searching on Pinterest for inspiration. They decided to be surprised on the gender, so a yellow and gray nursery was perfect. The end result of their little adventure is a room that is clean and modern, but warm and with a bit of whimsy. We love the handmade poms over the changing table, and the little owls here and there, like the owl table lamp and the Petit Collage owl mobile. Addison's dad Daniel is a photographer and snapped all these lovely photos, and you can see more in the full gallery!

I love the yellow and gray nursery. I, too, will want to be surprised about the gender of my baby so I am always curious about how such parents decorate the nursery in advance. This is great!

did you make the pom poms out of felt? If so, was there a tutorial somewhere? I love them!

The funny thing is the pom poms were just left over decorations we had from the baby shower. They were so much work to make that we decided to put them in the nursery too!

I think this is the DIY that we went by. Ours were much bigger though... on accident.
